Q. WHAT TIME DOES GATE OPEN AND FILM START?

A. Doors open 30 minutes before session times.


Q. CAN I BRING THE KIDS ALONG?

A. Yes, this is a great event for families, however children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Family tickets are available. See Tickets


Q. WHY IS THE FILM ‘SUITABLE FOR 15+’?

A. Most of the film is suitable for ALL ages, however there are two historic images from the genocide depicting deceased bodies, which are on screen for 15 seconds. This makes the film a 15+ rated film. Children under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.


Q. HOW MUCH ARE THE TICKETS?

A. Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for children (15 and under).
Family tickets for 2 adults and 2 children (15 and under) are $95. If you have a group of 8 or more, you are encouraged to purchase as a group as you will save $15 in booking fees by purchasing as a group. Additional booking fees apply.


Q. CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS ON THE DAY?

A. Yes, if tickets are still available you can purchase from the box office. Please contact us to ensure there are tickets available. Credit card payments only. We do encourage purchase prior to the day, as due to Covid-safe guidelines, we are required to avoid crowding.


Q. DO I NEED TO WEAR A MASK?

A. The official advice from NSW Health is a recommendation to wear a mask if social distancing is not possible. However, this is at the patron’s discretion and not required by law. 

Q. HOW IS THIS EVENT COVID-SAFE?

A. This screening follows Covid-safe guidelines, as per requirements set by Event Cinemas. All ticket sales are credit card only. Seat numbers are restricted inside the cinema to ensure social distancing between groups. One seat will be kept empty on either side of your group. Patrons should avoid crowding in the foyer area. Arrive just before the screening and line up maintaining distance between patrons. At the end of the screening, please be prompt with your departure. The AFFA team will be on site to help adhere to these guidelines – for your safety and for the safety of all patrons.


Q. WHAT IF I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO ISOLATE OR FEEL UNWELL?

A. If you feel unwell, awaiting COVID-19 test results or have been told to isolate, you must stay home and not attend the event. Tickets are transferable so simply contact us to advise of changes on parev@affsydney.com.

Q. WILL THERE BE PHOTOGRAPHERS AT THE EVENT?

A. There will be official Armenian Film Festival Australia (AFFA) photographers onsite. They, along with the rest of the committee will be in AFFA uniform, making them all easy to identify. If you would prefer not to be photographed please let the photographer know. 

Q. WHAT IS THIS EVENT FUNDRAISING FOR?

On 27th September, 2020, Azerbaijan, backed by Turkey started unprovoked attacks of the Armenian Republic of Artsakh. Since that time, over half the populartion of Artsakh has been displaced, hundreds have died and severe damage has been caused.


Q. HOW IS THE PROFIT BEING USED?

A. All profits from this event will be donated to the All Armenia Fund via www.himnadram.org This charity is endorsed by the governments of both Armenia and Artsakh.
Furthermore, tshirts will be available for sale – all profits from these will also be donated to the above charity. Tables will also be set up at the event to allow individuals to make donations to the All Armenia Fund.
