Gate to Heaven takes you on a journey to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabagh). Filmmaker Jivan Avetisyan has committed his life’s work to telling the stories of the resilient indigenous people in this war-torn part of the world. Reserved seating. Please select your seats at time of booking:

FESTIVAL LAUNCH – SONGS OF SOLOMON

Launching the festival in both Melbourne and Sydney is Songs of Solomon, Armenia’s selection for Best International Feature Film category at the 93rd Academy Awards. The film’s protagonist Komitas (Soghomon Soghomonian, anglicised as Solomon) the ordained priest, composer, musicologist, arranger, singer and choirmaster and the most important collector of Armenian folk songs, lived through the years of the Armenian genocide. As a tribute to Komitas, a special live musical performance will be presented.

In Sydney, Masha Mnjoyan, winner of The Voice Armenia and finalist of The Voice Australia.

Olympicos celebrates the victory of King Varazdat at the Ancient Greek Olympics. Come along to meet a REAL LIFE King Varazdat & Queen Gohar. Children are invited to come in their dress-up costumes – kings, queens, princes, and princesses and Armenian costumes welcome!
