Gala Night: Ticket price includes the screening of Gate to Heaven, a pre-screening cocktail party with drinks and a selection of Armenian delicacies, plus live entertainment. Seats are reserved for this session only. Please select your seats at time of booking.
Family Film tickets: Available for Once Upon a Time at School and Olympicos. Savings are offered for family groups of 2A/2C or 1A/3C. Children 15 and under. To add more children, purchase a separate children’s ticket.
3-film Multipass: Must be for separate sessions for one person only. Sessions must be selected at time of booking. Excludes Gala Night.

Doors open 15 minutes before session times. No reserved seating except for Gala Night.
Online ticket sales close 30 minutes before session times. Box Office opens at the venue 1 hour before the screening time. We anticipate that door sales will be available for most sessions, however this cannot be guaranteed. Please check our social media for latest updates. Tickets are subject to availability.

GALA NIGHT
Our centrepiece event, with Red Carpet, celebrity guests, and representatives from government, film industry and the Armenian community. Join us for a 2-hour pre-screening cocktail party with drinks, Armenian delicacies and live entertainment. Followed by the screening of Gate to Heaven (with popcorn on entry) and concluding with Q&A with filmmaker Jivan Avetisyan.
Gate to Heaven takes you on a journey to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabagh). Filmmaker Jivan Avetisyan has committed his life’s work to telling the stories of the resilient indigenous people in this war-torn part of the world. Reserved seating. Please select your seats at time of booking:

OPENING NIGHT
Opening Night is Songs of Solomon, Armenia’s selection for Best International Feature Film category at the 93rd Academy Awards. The film’s protagonist is Komitas (Solomon Solomonian) the ordained priest, composer, musicologist, arranger, singer and choirmaster and the most important collector of Armenian folk songs, who lived through the years of the Armenian genocide. As a tribute to Komitas, a special live musical performance will be presented:
Melbourne: Kristin Asdouryan, mezzo soprano.
Sydney: Masha Mnjoyan, winner of The Voice Armenia.
Filmmakers Arman Nshanian and Asko Akopyan will also be in attendance for an insightful Q&A after the screening. As a tribute to Komitas, there will be a live performance by Soprano Kristin Asdouryan in Melbourne, and winner of The Voice Armenia Masha Mnjoyan in Sydney.
CLOSING NIGHT
Sabre Dance is our Closing Night film. As a tribute to the composer Aram Khachaturian, the Armenian Sydney Dance Company will perform the electrifying Sabre Dance, from the ballet Gayane. Come along and immerse yourself in Armenian history and culture with a breathtaking performance to close the festival for 2022. Session includes a dance performance by the Armenian Sydney Dance Company – the Sabre Dance – an electrifying dance from the Gayane ballet. Sydney only.
OLYMPICOS – MEET & GREET KING VARAZDAT
KIDS SPECIAL: Meet & Greet with real-life King Varaztad & Queen Gohar. Dress-up costumes welcome (kings, queens, princes and princesses and Armenian costumes). Kids craft corner. (MEL & SYD)
